Eastern White Pine Grade Rules Change Approved; New Patterns Also Added

(More news)

NELMA was notified on May 23, 2007 that the American Lumber Standard Committee (ALSC) Board of Review has approved the Association's request to amend its rules for Eastern White Pine, paragraph 6.2.3 Standard grade under knots, by deleting the red knot and black knot formula.  This revision was recommended by the NELMA Pine Subcommittee and approved at the NELMA Board of Directors' meeting in Boston on March 31, 2007.  All grade rule revisions by rules-writing agencies must receive final approval from ALSC's Board of Review prior to implementation.

In addition, the ALSC Board of Review approved NELMA's request to add three (3) "combination" patterns to the Eastern Pattern Chart.  The new patterns are listed below.  To view the details of each one, just click on the pattern.
