An Environmental Quiz That Can Open the Door to Inquiry and Learning About Forest and Forestry
(More news)(Source: Dovetail News - January 2010)
A short environmental quiz, originally developed at the University of Minnesota in 1991, has been found to be extremely useful in stimulating discussion about forest and environmental trends. Focusing on topics from world and U.S. population to raw material consumption trends, forest growth and harvest, and paper recycling, the quiz actively engages participants to gain a better understanding of forests and forestry in today's society. Over 10,000 general audiences of adults, forest industry employees, college and high school students, boy scouts, and even community and legislative leaders have taken the quiz over the past 18 years.
Now available on-line as an interactive tool, the quiz is easier than ever to use. The 2010 quiz incorporates updated questions with the most current data. Take a moment to complete the short, 25-question quiz by clicking here! Those who take the on-line version receive immediate results and feedback upon completion.
The environmental quiz and an associated answer sheet are also available in the form of pdf files for download and printing, which also includes additional resources and historical quiz results since 1991.
