A total of 356.7 million board feet of softwood lumber was shipped by NELMA members in the first 6 months of 2011, about 4% below shipments during the same period in 2010. Of the total shipment data, Dimension lumber accounted for 186.8 million board feet and Eastern White Pine 169.9 million board feet.

For the month of June, Dimension mills shipped 33.4 million board feet (10% below June 2010) and Eastern White Pine mills shipped 30.7 million board feet (6% below June 2011). A graphic comparison of monthly shipments from 2008 to 2011 are included below:
