Preliminary lumber volumes reported by NELMA members through August indicate that 474.4 million board feet was shipped during the first 8 months of 2011. This total remains below 2010 for the same period by 4%. Eastern White Pine's figure of 229.6 million board feet was nearly on target with 2010, while Dimension lumber shipments lagged behind 2010's 8-month total by 6%.
