Job Description: Work with the NEFF forestry team and New England Climate-Smart Commodities (CSC) Project team to develop a climate-smart forest products supply chain in New England. This will include outreach to encourage expanded use of wood as a climate-friendly building material, including helping to document and communicate the carbon benefits. The Specialist will help develop climate-smart sourcing criteria for high- and low-grade wood markets, and work with primary and secondary forest products manufacturers as well as building sector partners (architects, developers, etc.) to pilot those criteria in the growing mass timber building arena.
