The Lovells Island Marine Biology Research Center

This project proposes a new marine biology and research center that couples Boston’s vibrant academic community with the diverse ecological environment of Lovells Island in Boston’s outer harbor. Rather than bringing the “outside in” to stimulate the educational experience, this proposal seeks to bring the “inside” directly to the source by providing researchers and students with the invaluable benefits of on-site learning.
