  • Highly skilled is all aspects of woodworking with more than general knowledge of AWI standards and practices 
  • Examples of arch. Millwork bars, reception desks, wall paneling, doors, banquettes, window seating, conference tables, furniture pieces
  • Ability to assemble cabinets, size lumber, work from shop drawing, identify material defects assemble doors and other hardwood components, and apply laminates.

Conservation District Forester, Montcalm Conservation District, Michigan

The Montcalm Conservation District is seeking a Forester to provide assistance to private forest landowners in Montcalm, Kent, and Ionia counties.

This position requires a minimum of a B.S. or M.S. in Forestry from a Society of American Foresters accredited program or a forester certified by the Society of American Foresters. This is a granted position through the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development – Forestry Assistance Program. The wage ($21-$24/hour) will be commensurate with candidate’s experience and education.

AFM’s Central Maine District has an opening for a District Manager position reporting to the Northeast Region Manager. The position is responsible for the management of 300,000+ acres of large client forest lands as well as other small family forest client lands. Senior Project Manager, New York

Starting base salary: $75K-120K 

  • Ability to manage a project from project award to close out 
  • Manage draftsmen and material sample to obtain approvals 
  • Take field surveys and make up approved drawing for shop floor
  • Manage material take offs and oversee material purchasing and lead-times
  • Establish a productive relationship with customer, manage customer expectations and create construction schedule. 
  • Insure shop production floor has all material, approved shop drawing with confirmed dimension and material sample approvals before releasing to shop floor.

  • Ability to work from approved shop drawing, program and operate CNC nested base routers (both operate and program preferred but not required). 
  • Proficient in programing architectural millwork parts and casegoods.

  • Managing machine programs and machine run times.
