NELMA’s Exhibit Outreach Ramps Up

The Association’s exhibit hits the road beginning in November at a number of significant events attended by important targeted audiences identified within NELMA’s Marketing Program. Here’s a preview of where we will be:

NAWLA’s Trader’s Market 2015
November 4-6, 2015

Look for NELMA at Booth #416 at this major industry event. The Traders Market has held a unique position among lumberNAWLA 2015 and building material tradeshows since it began in 1996 as the only one that is focused almost exclusively on the lumber supply chain. Exhibitors are almost always manufacturers of lumber and lumber-related products, not machinery or other equipment providers.

ABX 2015

Convention Center – Boston, Massachusetts

ABX (Architecture Boston Expo) is the leading building industry event in the Northeast and draws ABX 2015more than 5,000 architects and design professionals for its 3-day event. NELMA’s exhibit will be in Booth #535.

IBS 2016

For the first time ever, NELMA will be an exhibit participant at the International Builders’ Show (IBS)! Thanks to the financial support of the Softwood Lumber Board (SLB), 4 lumber associations including NELMA will share space #15293, a 20’x30’ space under the banner of “Wood, Naturally”. The Southern Forest Products Association, the Western Wood IBS 2016Products Association, and the Western Wood Preservers Institute will join NELMA in promoting all things wood to the more than 50,000 building industry participants expected at this annual event.

Architects See Wood!

NELMA continued its presence before the largest regional gathering of architects and building design professionals with its 10×10 exhibit at the 2014 ABX event held at the Boston Convention Center, October 28-30. The show drew more thanABX14_banner 8,000 registrants that had the opportunity to garner continuing education credits at various seminars and workshops, while also spending time perusing 364 exhibits on the show floor.

As usual, NELMA offered this important decision-making group one of the very few locations at the Expo to learn more about using wood in their designs. Touting northeastern softwoods as a natural fit for today’s contemporary building construction, both inside and out, NELMA’s central message of “Sustainable Versatility” is gaining traction with the audience. “We no longer have to defend wood as a construction material to this target group as in years past”, according to Jeff Easterling, President of NELMA. “It’s refreshing to get questions on ‘what’s new?’ along with their eagerness to talk about their projects that incorporate wood products.”

ABX Show Floor 2014The most popular reference materials offered by the Association continue to be the Grade Swatch and the Pattern Profiles, followed by the Northeastern Softwoods “Map”. Separately, the recognition of the White Pine Series of Architectural Monographs continues to grow with each issue published by NELMA.
